Джулли Макини (Сиполо) (Jully Makini (Sipolo)) родилась в городе Гизо, центре Западной провинции Соломоновых островов. Закончила Южнотихоокеанский университет. Всерьез начала писать в 1980 году, после посещения первого семинара для писательниц на Соломоновых островах. Работала редактором, помогла выпустить первый сборник произведений женщин Соломоновых островов, "Mi Mere" (частично на google books).У нее вышло три собственных стихотворных сборника:

"Flotsam & Jetsam" (частично на google books) 2007
Также ее произведения вошли в антологию "Raetemaot: Creative Writing from Solomon Islands"
